Publication Ethics
Publication ethics are fundamental to maintaining the integrity and credibility of scholarly research. As a researcher and author submitting to the Research in English Language Education Journal (RELEJ), I fully acknowledge the responsibilities inherent in the publication of academic work and commit to adhering to the following ethical standards:
- PlagiarismI ensure that all content presented in my manuscript is either my original work or properly cited and attributed to the original sources. I strictly avoid all forms of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, and uphold the highest standards of academic honesty and integrity.
- AuthorshipI recognize and appropriately credit all individuals who have made significant intellectual contributions to the research and manuscript. All qualified contributors are listed as co-authors or acknowledged accordingly. I do not engage in gift or honorary authorship and confirm that all authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript.
- Data Fabrication and FalsificationI do not fabricate, falsify, or manipulate data. All research findings are based on valid, reliable data collected through appropriate methods. Any limitations or potential weaknesses in the research are transparently disclosed.
- Conflict of InterestI disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest, including financial, personal, or professional relationships that may influence the research or its presentation. All funding sources are fully acknowledged. I ensure that such conflicts do not compromise the objectivity or integrity of the research.
- Peer ReviewI respect the confidentiality and integrity of the peer review process. I provide honest and constructive responses to reviewers’ comments and do not attempt to manipulate or influence reviewers in any way. I acknowledge the valuable contributions of reviewers in improving the quality of the manuscript.
By adhering to these ethical principles, I aim to contribute responsibly to the advancement of knowledge in the field of English language education and uphold the trust of the academic community. I recognize that scholarly publishing is a collective endeavor, and I am committed to promoting ethical conduct and maintaining the highest standards of research integrity.
Our journal is committed to transparency, integrity, and accountability in scientific publishing. We fully adhere to the WAME statement entitled “Recommendations on Chatbots and Generative Artificial Intelligence in Relation to Scholarly Publications.”
